We ask that all wedding cake orders be placed at least one month in advance. Although we only ask for one months notice, the only way to be sure that you will be guaranteed a cake for your wedding is to order as soon as possible. We tend to book up fast for weekend weddings in wedding season (May-September).

Last minute cake orders:

           

As long as we are not booked and able, we gladly accept last minute orders. However, with most things last minute, not all cake designs will still be available to you.

If your cake order is placed with less than two weeks notice a full payment is due at that time for your order to be processed.

 

Groom’s Cake

           

If you are ordering a Groom’s cake you have to place that order at the same time you are placing your wedding cake order. If you do not order your groom’s cake at that time we cannot guarantee that we will be available to do your Groom’s cake for your wedding as well.

We have a wide variety of cake designs for all price ranges from traditional to contemporary. Our buttercream cakes start at $4 per person and our fondant cakes start and $6 per person. Depending on the cake design you choose an additional “art charge” may be added.

 

Fillings cost a flat $6.00 per tier, no matter what the size.

This is the fun part! The first step in choosing your design is picking the style, whether it is buttercream or fondant. After you know what kind or icing you want, its time to pick a cake. When looking at cake designs don’t just look at the colors because with most cakes the colors can be changed to fit your own style and wedding. Find a shape, size, style, you like. Once you have this we can customize your cake to fit your own wedding.

 

Do I have to pick one of Enticing Icings designs?

 

Nope!! If you don’t see anything in our collection that you like, bring us a picture of one that you do like. As long as we are able, we are more than happy to recreate the cake for you. If you want a design you have only seen in your dreams, together we can design a cake that will match your own wedding and personalities.

 

What about dummy tiers to make my cake appear taller?

 

We can add dummy ties (Styrofoam, decorated like the rest of your cake) to the bottom of your wedding cake to give your cake more height. It would appear to look like just another tier of cake. The cost of the dummy tier(s) would go on a case-by-case basis, depending on the design of the actual cake.

 

Exact colors

 

If you want an exact color, a swatch is required for matching. Otherwise we cannot guarantee that your color will be exact.

Separations and stands

 

If you order a cake with separations or a stand, a deposit is usually required to rent the equipment. Your deposit will be returned in full as long as the equipment is returned clean and undamaged in the 2 weeks after your wedding. If the equipment is returned after 2 weeks only half of your deposit will be returned. If the equipment is returned after 30 days none of your deposit will be refunded.

 

Gumpaste, pearls, and other non-edible décor

 

If you order a cake that has any non-edible décor on it, the decorations MUST be removed BEFORE consumption. We will not be held responsible for any injury.

Fresh flowers

 

If you are having fresh flowers on your wedding cake and want us to put the flowers on your cake, the flowers MUST be in the form of a lay-on arrangement. We are not florist and will not arrange the flowers on your wedding cake. If you have a florist, it is also important to give your florist the measurements and dimensions of your wedding cake so they can charge you accordingly. If you want flowers on your wedding cake it is also important for them to be edible flowers. Your florist should be able to provide you with a list of edible flowers suitable to be placed on your cake.

 

Buttercream

 

Most of the time buttercream flowers are included in the cost of the cake. However, if you would like an excessive amount of buttercream flowers, an additional charge might be added. You can also order buttercream flowers by themselves for serving purposes. (A buttercream flower on each piece of cake when serving looks nice)

 

Gumpaste flowers, fondant bows, etc.

 

Gumpaste flowers, though they are made with edible ingredients, should not be eaten. Most of the time they have wire in them that is NOT edible and may cause injury.

Fondant bows and other fondant décor are edible. Gumpaste and fondant decorations will always have an extra charge.

You always have the option to pick up your cake and get it to your reception site yourselves. I HIGHLY recommend that we should deliver anything over 2 tiers. Delivery is $1.40 per mile (one way). Sunday deliveries will cost an additional $50.00, and holiday deliveries will cost an additional $75.00. For more information on delivery fees please contact us with your reception information and we can give you a delivery fee quote.

 

If you order delivery for your wedding cake, we will need to know what time your reception or wedding starts and what time your wedding cake table will be ready for delivery. With this information we will give you a one-hour window for which your wedding cake will be delivered. No exact delivery times will be given. When the cake is delivered someone will need to be there to sign that the cake was received in good condition.

Payment

 

A 25% deposit is required at time of signing your contract for your order to be processed. The full balance due MUST be paid 2 weeks prior to delivery/pick up. If the total balance is not paid one week prior to your wedding, we reserve the right to cancel your wedding cake order.

 

Cancellation/postponements and changes

 

All changes must be made two weeks prior to delivery/ pick up. All cancellations and postponements MUST be made 30 days prior to delivery/ pick up for a full deposit refund. Any cancellations or postponements made after this time will not be given a refund on their deposit.
